PlayerUnknown’s Battleground has been a massive success. Even when it was in its alpha phase it was selling like hot cakes. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds team has now made it clear recently that they will be adding more game modes besides the classic battle royale and zombie games. PUBG’s developer said that they are experimenting with a brand new “War Mode” that resembles the conventional death matches in other games rather than PUBG in which you have to be the last one standing. You get a submachine gun right at the beginning of the match, and the match doesn’t end when you die , teams keep on respawning until one of them reaches 80 points. So it shouldn’t be so hard for newcomers because they die seconds into a battle royale . It is also expected to be faster paced as players won’t have to search high and low for guns to start fighting.
However, War Mode at the moment is only available for custom servers and can only be made on Windows PCs.There are plans of bringing it to the public through Events.
There’s also some additional news for Xbox One players too! PlayerUnknown the man himself “Brendan Greene” and Microsoft’s Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb have said that the Xbox One version of PUBG will soon be getting the game’s second map, Miramar, this May. However, most people don’t take this as good news, most critics have stated that Miramar’s expansive desert landscape leads to too many sniper battles. But it sure does beat playing PUBG’s base map Erangel over and over again. And to top it off another smaller map called the Savage map is right around the corner.
