A new phone has entered the race and is a cause of terror everywhere, given the name of Black Shark, Xiaomi’s has made its arrival into the gaming mobile genre. The device was able to launch because of an investment made by Xiaomi in the Black Shark Technology.Black Shark Technology is a Chinese gaming company that will presumably form part of the Mi company.
Xiaomi’s Black Shark has a black and green layout design and it resembles the Razer Phone a lot, it being the most prominent gaming phone on the market today, although it is definitely a lot smoother and curvier. Also, notice those green beveled edges. And it is just as good on the inside as it is on the outside, equipped with the high end specs that make it a beast: first off it has a Snapdragon 845, with up to 8GB of RAM, a 1080p 18:9 display, and a great 4,000mAh battery.
However, for now, there has been no mention of a high refresh rate display in the Xiaomi Balck Shark, not like the Razer Phone though, but the Black Shark phone is worthy of the gaming phone title by virtue of an analog stick controller that is attachable and snaps onto one side of the screen. The phone is also said to have a true “liquid cooling”. liquid cooling has been previously used in Lumia 950 which had a heat pipe style cooling solutions on the phone. To top it off, Black Shark is claiming temperature reductions of 8 degrees Celsius.
The Black Shark phone is now available to pre-order online now for 3499 Chinese yuan which is equal to about $480 US Dollars – for a model with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This is considerably cheap for a phone with a Snapdragon 845. (Details at the end of the Article.)
Although gaming phones are a very popular market worldwide, they are even more popular in China than most other places due to the overwhelming popularity of considerable heavy mobile games like the frequently played MOBA Honor of Kings and various kinds of battle royales that follow after PUBG. Dedicated consoles are not that popular in China so the mobile companies are doing their best to provide consumers with the best games and phones to satisfy their gaming needs. However, in other news, last month Xiaomi also announced its first gaming computer, the Mi Gaming Laptop.
Xiaomi’s the Black Shark is an entirely new device with customized hardware designed solely to bring forth the best gaming performance out of a mobile handset, with a new state of the art cooling system, new ISP, the latest Snapdragon 845 and a massive 4,000 mAh battery.
The Black Shark has a 5.99” 18:9 IPS LCD with a Full HD+ resolution and 97% DCI-P3 coverage on the front. The Snapdragon 845 chip comes along with the Kryo 385 cores and Adreno 630 GPU.
The phone does not come with a microSD slot, but Xiaomi has compensated this by releasing two versions of the phone – 6 GB RAM + 64 GB internal storage or 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage. The image processing chip onboard is new by MEMC that brings sharper colors and overall smooth performance.
The Black Shark originally has one speaker, but its earpiece acts as a second one to give a Biso stereo sound. The mic of the phone is aslso designed to be gaming oriented giving users the ability of simple usage of voice calls and radio chat during the game without any interruption in the game. The body of the phone has an X shape for providing a better grip, and the icing on the cake is that the frame also serves as an antenna.
If you are among the first 50,000 buyers will get a free Black Shark Gamepad. It has a 340 mAh battery and connects via Bluetooth. There is also a dedicated “Shark” button on the left side that is specially made to let you focus all your hardware power to your game so you can get as much juice as you can.
The phone has Android Oreo, topped with JOY UI, which is a custom launcher that shares some of its apps with Xiaomi’s MIUI.
And let’s not forget about the Camera. There is a dual camera on the back of the Black Shark – 12 MP f/1.75 + 20 MP f/1.75 with 6P lens and a dual-LED flash. The pixel size of the first is 1.25 µm, while the other sensor has 1 µm pixels. There is also a selfie camera that has an identical 20MP sensor but slower f/2.2 lens.
Finally , Here are the detailed specifications of the Black Shark ! It is definately a killer phone !
