If you were not aware , Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, the acclaimed 2017 hack-and-slash adventure game from developer Ninja Theory, has gotten a new and improved VR edition in just on July 31 2018 , and it is entirely free for those who already own the Steam PC version of the game.
The Standard Hellblade was scary as it is, imagine how scary this guy will be in VR.
Ninja Theory’s VR version of Hellblade launched on July 31 for both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR headsets as a free add-on for the existing Steam version of Hellblade. Ninja Theory was also careful to stress that the VR version won’t be toned down in any way, as it offers the same full story campaign that players already experienced in Hellblade’s standard version.
In terms of gameplay, the VR version still involves using a third-person perspective, but the full-immersion abilities of the VR technology makes sure that the game is still very intense and engaging even for those who have already played through the game before. The only downside to this is that players will need a pretty heavy gaming rig if they want to run the VR version of Hellblade at a level of settings. Ninja Theory recommends that, at minimum, a player should equip their PC with an Nvidia GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX 580 graphics card , an Intel i5 3570K or AMD FX-8350 processor, and at least 8GB of RAM if they want to take Hellblade’s VR version for a ride.
Hellblade has won the most awards of the 2017 BAFTA Games Awards with five in all. These included Artistic Achievement, Audio Achievement, Best British Game, Game Beyond Entertainment, as well as Best Performer.
GameSpot’s Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice review praised its satisfying combat and an inventive story that tackled the complex issue of mental illness.
